Towards the implementation of the standards in the Czech Republic

In April 2019, 20 coordinators of our partner organisation Nedoklubko from the Czech Republic came together for an intense working meeting in Škvorec/Prague. They worked on tasks like their “Mom for Mom” project and discussed possibilities on how to introduce the baby simulator doll “Paul” as a training tool in hospitals in the Czech Republic.

One of the key agenda points was how to implement the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health in the Czech Republic. Several steps have already been achieved, like introducing the standards to the local scientific community at the occasion of several events. In addition, thanks to the efforts of Nedoklubko, the Czech Neonatology Society officially supports the standards.

In addition, several working groups for the implementation have been set up and Nedoklubko works on introducing the standards at further medical societies. In May, Nedoklubkos CEO Lucie Žáčková presented the standards at a Nursing Conference in České Budějovice with about 300 participants.
